The split-core design allows the transformer to be opened and installed around existing conductors without interrupting power or dismantling the system.

How Split Core CBCT Works
The Split Core CBCT continuously monitors the vector sum of all phase conductors and neutral passing through the core.
Under normal conditions, the sum of currents is zero. When an earth leakage fault occurs, the resulting imbalance creates a residual current signal that is detected by the CBCT and transmitted to the connected Earth Leakage Relay (ELR), enabling alarm indication or circuit disconnection.
